LEGALIZATION OF DOCUMENTS
The documents coming from abroad, in order to have legal validity in Guatemala, must have the corresponding pass of law which begins in the country of origin and will culminate its legalization in Guatemala. These documents must be legalized at the Guatemalan Embassy or Consulate in the country of origin.
Please take into account the following points, so that we can work your legalization quickly:
Original document previously legalized. The document must have been previously legalized by the corresponding authority of the Republic of India or the countries of the constituencies (Sri Lanka and Bangladesh), before sending the original to this Embassy.
1 photocopy of the legalized document.
Documents are received only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and are delivered 24 hours later. The cost is US$10.00 per document (only U.S. currency is accepted), which must be made by deposit to a bank account.
The three points mentioned above must be fulfilled, otherwise the document cannot be legalized and will be sent back.
