About La Antigua
Antigua Guatemala was declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO because it preserves almost 500 years of history.
This is a magical and enchanting colonial city with privileged weather and an exceptional view of the Agua, Fuego and Acatenango volcanoes. It was built in the Panchoy Valley and was named the third capital of Guatemala. After having suffered different earthquakes, it has remained still in time and is admired for its cobblestone streets, colonial houses, civil monuments, legends and traditions.
