The Ambassador of Guatemala to India, H.E. Mr. Omar Castañeda Solares represented the government of Guatemala at the commemoration ceremony of the 77th anniversary of independence of Sri Lanka. The Ambassador conveyed the best wishes of peace and prosperity to the government and people of Sri Lanka during the meeting with the Honorable Mr. Arun Hemachandra, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs & Foreign employment of Sri Lanka.

The Embassy of Guatemala in India concurrent to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka will continue to strengthen the Diplomatic relations between the governments and citizens of the two nations.
