It was an honor and a privilege for the Embassy of Guatemala to participate in the 2025 MahaKumbh Mela in Prayagraj, India. This mela is a unique and spiritual experience that happens once every 144 years.

According to Hindu mythology, for millions of pilgrims, the Maha Kumbh Mela is a chance to wash away their sins by bathing in the holy waters, especially in Prayagraj due to the confluence of three rivers: the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mystical Saraswati. The 144-year Maha Kumbh Mela holds even greater importance because it coincides with a unique celestial alignment, making it incredibly auspicious.

The Embassy of Guatemala thanks the Ministry of External Affairs of India and Honorable Minister of State Sh. Pabitra Margherita for convening us to this unique occasion.
