The Ambassador of Guatemala to India along with First Secretary and Consul visited Kolkata from March 9th to March 11th for an official visit. The principal objective of the visit was to strengthen the presence of Guatemala in the Republic of India and reinforce the work done by our Honorary Consul Mr. Mukund Khaitan, who has been working with the economic sector to increase the investment between Guatemala and India.
During the visit, the diplomats of the had the opportunity to have meetings with various chambers of commerce interested in seeking business opportunities with Guatemala, being the Indian Chamber of Commerce of Kolkata a strong allied in the region for the Guatemalan products.
Additionally, Ambassador Castañeda participated as Chief Guest, during the cultural event called “Velada Cultural” organized by the Indo-Hispanic Language Academy during the commemoration of the International Women´s Day.
