On Saturday, April 27th2024, the Embassy of Guatemala along with other Latin American countriesparticipated in the “Día E” celebrations organized by Instituto Cervantes, New Delhi. This event was organizedto commemorate the International Day of the Spanish language, celebrated every year on April 23th.
During Spanish Day “E-Day”It was a privilege to have shared, together with Latin American ambassadors, students and friends, the history, legacy and poetry of our Nobel Prize winner in Literature (1967) Miguel Ángel Asturias, as well as the wonderful literature of many authors and writers in our Spanish language, during the event the participants learned about Guatemalan culture, tasting gastronomy, admiring typical textiles, playing “cincos/ marbles” and “ronrón” like in the traditional Guatemalan fairs and festivals.
