About Chichicastenango

Chichicastenango, is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Guatemala for its rich cultural and spiritual heritage. It is a small city at almost 2000 meters high in the Guatemalan highlands.

Chichicastenango is located just 3 hours/ 145km from Guatemala City. This city is located in the Guatemalan department of El Quiche and it is a region where there is a vast production of fruits and vegetables of excellent quality, some for local consumption and others for exportation.

In this city there are several traditional religious rituals, that a tourist can attend with permission from the locals.
